As we kickoff our camping season for the year, Troop 96 is excited to share the plans that have been put together by the Lion Patrol for an evening climb and camping adventure on March 24-25. If you’ve been to the Adventure Park in Sandy Spring before, then you know how much fun climbing and ziplining can be. If you haven’t, you’re in for a treat. And a bonus twist, we’ll be doing a night climb, which means we’ll get to be in the treetops under the night sky and the glowing string lights set up throughout the park.

This coming Saturday from 2pm to 5pm, the Cub Scouts will be having their annual Blue and Gold Banquet. Jamal Douglas, our new Senior Patrol Leader, is looking for Scout volunteers to serve as MCs for the Blue and Gold banquet and has asked me to reach out to our patrol. I believe that serving as an MC at this event would also help you with your Communication merit badge, for those who have not yet completed it. If you are available to volunteer this coming Saturday, please let us know as soon as possible. It will be at the church from 2pm to 5pm on Saturday, February 11. This information is also in an email that you received yesterday afternoon.
